Marco Palmieri brought this little playful cupid character to life through a series of bespoke, frame-by-frame animated loops for London-based branding agency KISS Branding. The animations were designed to respond to viewer interaction, with different loops triggered by the movement and activity of the cursor.
Rather than a single linear logo animation, the cupid became an interactive part of the brand experience, reacting and moving in response to the viewer.
The animation was all done using traditional 2D animation frame by frame techniques. This hand-crafted frame-by-frame approach gives the character a playful, tactile quality and plenty of personality, creating an identity that felt alive rather than simply animated.
